Seniors invited to holiday parties at senior center

Canyon Lake seniors 55 years and older are invited to a Christmas dinner party and a New Year’s Eve dinner-dance party at the senior center.

The Christmas dinner will be held on Sunday, December 10. The catered dinner will be served at 5 p.m. Non-alcoholic drinks and dessert are included. Entertainment will include a performance by the Canyon Lake Choraleers.

The Christmas party is put on for seniors at no charge. The party is paid for with the proceeds from the senior center annual Holiday Boutique, which is put on by the Senior Center Work Group.

Reservations are required and seating is limited to 85 seniors. Signups are taken at the POA office.

Seniors are invited to ring in 2018 at the New Year’s Eve dinner-dance on Saturday, December 31, from 6 to 11 p.m. This semi-formal event includes a sit-down dinner. A DJ will provide entertainment for the evening.

The New Year countdown and champagne toast will be at 10 p.m. Party favors will be provided. “The New Year’s Eve dinner-dance is an amazing event for seniors! Everyone who comes wishes it could last longer,” says Marjean Marich.
