The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild and POA Concerts at the Lodge have both announced their 2018 concert schedules. Tickets are now on sale for each of the 2018 events. Together, the Canyon Lake community will have access to eight concerts on various Saturday nights, in the Holiday Bay Room of the lodge. In addition, The Guild will offer a free summer concert at Holiday Harbor Park.

The Fine Arts Guild has been offering concerts to the community since 2001 and the POA has been offering concerts for a little more than two years. Each has experienced its own level of success and has been well received by their respective audiences.

Some music fans enjoy seeing an actual recording artist while others want to hear more familiar music from tribute artists. Some music fans enjoy both, but in Canyon Lake, they get their choice.

The POA leads off the season on Feb. 10, featuring smooth jazz saxophonist Warren Hill. Warren’s dynamic live show has taken him to more than 25 countries performing over 1,500 concerts. The Guild follows on Mar. 3 with a Billy Joel Tribute from Mike Santoro. The native New Yorker will sing smash hits such as “Just the Way You Are,” “Uptown Girl” and “Piano Man.”

The POA follows with The Surf City All-Stars on Apr. 21, featuring original Beach Boy David Marks and Dean Torrence of Jan & Dean. The Guild will then present Bee Gees Gold on May 19 with solid gold hits “Staying Alive,” “You Should Be Dancing” and “I Started a Joke.”

Country music artist Keith Anderson will perform for the POA June 30. Keith has had several hit songs, including “Every Time I Hear Your Name” and “I Still Miss You.” The Guild will then present Kenny Cetera’s Chicago Experience playing hits such as “Saturday in the Park,” “Make Me Smile” and “If You Leave Me Now.”

New wave band Berlin, featuring Terri Nunn, returns to Canyon Lake for the final concert of the season for the POA on Sept. 15. They will perform hits “The Metro,” “No More Words” and “Take My Breath Away” from the 1986 film Top Gun. The Guild will close their season with Gregory Wolfe as Rod Stewart on Nov. 3. Gregory will be singing hits such as “Maggie May, “Hot Legs” and “Do You Think I’m Sexy.”

The Guild’s free summer concert at Holiday Harbor Park is set for July 21. “Margaritaville by the Lake” will feature Gary Seiler and the CoastRiders performing the four-part TropRock (Tropical Rock) harmonies of Jimmy Buffett and the Beach Boys.

Doug Schultz, Producer of the POA’s Concerts at the Lodge series, said, “It’s an exciting eclectic line up of real recording artists that we all have been listening to for years.” Fine Arts Guild President Ron Martel said, “Our artists perform the most memorable and influential songs of our lives. Guild events are simply enjoyable and fun!”
