The Canyon Lake Family Matters Club is hosting a Winter Carnival for the community on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Holiday Harbor Park. The carnival will feature a visit from Santa and his elves, crafts, face painting, train rides, game booths, falling snow, vendors and basket raffles.

The club will hold a free raffle for six Christmas trees. Winners must take trees home at the conclusion of the event.

There will be a special section for children to write letters to Santa, which can be hand delivered to Santa at the event or be placed in a special North Pole mailbox.

The snack bar will be open and offering holiday treats.

Vendor spaces are $35 plus a donated item for the raffle table. For vendor information, contact Wendy at 760-888-7512 or wendysduran@yahoo.com.

The club is seeking volunteers to help set up, work during the event and clean up at the end of the event. For volunteer information, contact Tracy Casey at 951-265-2466 or tracykc@gmail.com.
