Kathryn Johnson

Kathryn Johnson, a longtime Canyon Lake resident, passed away unexpectedly on Nov.  2, 2017.

Kathy retired from teaching in Diamond Bar and, until recently, was an adjunct professor at Azusa Pacific University.

After earning her bachelor’s degree from Cal-State Los Angeles, she continued her education to receive a master’s degree in arts and education from Azusa Pacific University. She enjoyed teaching and was loved and respected by all of her students.

Kathy traveled to Hawaii and taught several summer sessions at the University of Hawaii. Most recently, she was the advocate for student teachers.

Kathy is survived by her special friend, Robert Resewehrs, sons Jeff and Mark Johnson,  daughter-in-laws Kelly and Kara and four very special grandchildren.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Kathy’s home, 24120 Cruise Circle, Canyon Lake, on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 1 p.m.
