Woman’s Club prepares for Holiday Home Tour

Residents who look forward to seeing beautifully decorated homes for the holidays will want to mark their calendars for the Canyon Lake Woman’s Club’s annual Holiday Home Tour on Sunday, Dec. 3. This year’s Home Tour theme is “A Kentucky Derby Christmas at the Lake.”

The club’s first Home Tour was held 44 years ago on Nov. 24, 1973. It now includes a drawing for decorated Christmas trees and wreaths and a vendor boutique.

Liz Ireland was the lucky winner of the Minnie Mouse themed tree last year. Photo provided by Liz Ireland.

There will be five Canyon Lake homes on the tour. Each home will be featured in The Friday Flyer in the weeks leading up to the Home Tour.

The tour begins at 9 a.m. at the lodge where guests can pick up a tour map, sample the signature cocktail, enjoy coffee and cookies, shop at the vendor boutique and purchase tickets for the decorated tree and wreaths opportunity drawing. Each tree is valued at a minimum of $200. Opportunity drawing tickets are $5 for six tickets. The drawing will be held at 2:30 p.m. and winners need not be present to win.

Home Tour tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the POA Office, from any Woman’s Club Board Member and at Coldwell Banker and Pack, Wrap and Post in the Towne Center.

Vendor spaces are available for $35 plus a gift for the vendor drawing. For vendor information, contact CLWC President Sue Collins at 951-246-2773.
