CLAMS enjoy 30th Laughlin group get-a-way

The Canyon Lake Association of Men (CLAMS) held its 30th Laughlin get-a-way Sept. 17 through Sept. 20th. Harry Larson served as host for the fifth consecutive year. Fifty-two members and guests traveled by bus, stopping in Barstow along the way. Entertainment on the bus included a movie and bingo. Refreshments and snacks were also served.

The group stayed at Don Laughlin’s Riverside Resort & Casino. Some members enjoyed side trips to Oatman, Lake Havasu and Las Vegas while other members enjoyed trips to the car museum, comedy show, movie theater, shopping outlets and casinos.

Members will be on hand this weekend at the Canyon Lake Car show to grill their famous brats.

The CLAMS is a non-profit philanthropic organization that has been in existence for more than 40 years. The club is open to all Canyon Lake men. The club currently has more than 90 members. This strong membership allows the CLAMS to continue its philanthropic work and give scholarships to deserving high school seniors.
