Chamber to host 25th annual Parade of Frights Oct. 28

The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce will host the 25th annual Parade of Frights on Saturday, Oct. 28, with registration beginning at 9 a.m. in front of city hall in the Towne Center.

Princesses, pirates, ghosts, goblins, super heroes, cartoon characters and everything in between are invited to this historic community event that features costumed children trick-or-treating at more than 30 Towne Center businesses using the chamber’s “Treasure Map.” Participating businesses will stamp the map and hand out treats. Completed maps are entered for a prize drawing. Three winners will be drawn.

Thunder from Lake Elsinore Storm will lead the costume contest parade in front of city hall. A prize will be awarded for Best Costume in the following age groups: one and younger, two to five, six to nine and 10 to 13.

This event will also feature bounce houses, carnival games, costume contests and DJ. Kids of all ages are invited to enter the costume contest for prizes. Adults are encouraged to come in costume.

Sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information, contact Executive Director Alison Burrafato at the chamber at 951-244-6124.
