Travel Club hosts end of summer dinner dance

The Canyon Lake Travel Club held its annual end of summer dinner dance, Ole’ Ole’ Ole’, on Friday, Sept. 8 at the pool. The event featured a Mexican themed dinner, dancing and music by DJ Aprile DeAnne.

Travel Club functions are open to all Canyon Lake residents, including those who are not members of the club. Upcoming club travels include Oktoberfest in Big Bear on Oct. 22, Huntington Harbor “Cruise of Lights” with dinner on Dec. 14 and a viewing of the Rose Parade floats in Pasadena with lunch at Westfield Santa Anita Mall on Jan. 2.

The Big Bear trip will include a historical bus tour of the lake followed by an authentic German lunch and entertainment at Festival Hall. The bus departs from the Canyon Lake Lodge at 8 a.m. and returns at approximately 5:30 p.m. The cost of this all-inclusive trip is $71 for members; $76 for non-members.

The Huntington Harbor “Cruise of Lights” day-trip is a narrated tour through the waterways of Huntington Harbor, where attendees will enjoy the beauty of thousands of lights and animated displays of brightly decorated homes.

Dinner will be at Buca de Beppo Italian restaurant. The cost of this trip is $85 for members; $90 for non-members.

The cost of the viewing of the Rose Parade floats and lunch trip is $46 for members; $51 for non-members. Reservation deadline is Nov. 2. Additional details will be posted on the club’s website at a later date.
