Soft opening held for new pickleball courts

A soft opening for the new pickleball courts at East Port Park was held on Saturday, Aug. 19. Twenty-six members of the Pickleball Club showed up to try out the new facility.

The club is looking forward to the ribbon-cutting in the near future. The club invites residents who wish to play or learn to play to join them on Saturday and Sunday at the new courts.

The Pickleball Club’s Social Play days are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 8 to 10 a.m. and 6 to 10 p.m.; open play days are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 10 a.m. with one court being reserved for beginners and clinics.

Social Mixers are held monthly on the third Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m.
