Diana Sue Parker is gearing up for the 2018 World Over 35 Waterski Championships in Paris, France. She competed in the event last year and qualified to ski in Jump and Trick and earned a bronze in Jump.

This season, Diana’s daughter Rachel Brady and seven-year-old grandson Liam Brady joined her, starting with their three-generation trick act in the Canyon Lake Fiesta Day Ski Show.

They recently returned from the 2017 Western Waterski Regionals held at Wet Ski Village Newberry Springs, California, where Diana Sue leaped a 71-foot jump to take 2nd place and help the southern California team earn an extra 300 points. She took 5th place in Trick and 3rd in Women’s 5.

Liam also qualified for regionals in Slalom and Trick, earning his first medal — 5th place Trick in Boys 1. The win qualified Liam for nationals.

Diana Sue said, “I’d like to thank the Canyon Lake POA, Canyon Lake Ski Club, Canyon Lake Wakeboard Club and the Canyon Lake Show Ski Club for all the support they give skiers here at Canyon Lake, which makes this all possible.”
