Headliners Salon celebrates 30 years in business

Some people say that Headliners Hair and Nail Salon is one of the “best kept secrets” in the Canyon Lake Towne Center because its located down one of the hidden corridors behind the driving school near the city hall building. If you were driving through the Towne Center looking for a salon, it would be easy to miss this little treasure. It’s safe to say that most of salon’s business comes from long time loyal clients and new clients through word of mouth.

Last month, the salon’s owner Colleen Kassens Mueller celebrated 30 years of being in business. When you walk into Headliners Hair and Nail Salon you can see why they’ve been in business for 30 years. You feel like part of the family immediately. They greet you with smiles and hugs. There is always coffee and treats for the customers and a sitting area for those who are waiting to chat with others and share life’s experiences. When you visit the salon, that is exactly what happens, life happens.  The experience is an upbeat, friendly atmosphere.

“Every day I go to work is truly an amazing day as I see many amazing clients.  Getting to know each one is a blessing. I get to do something that makes everyone feel good about themselves,” said Colleen. “I have been very blessed to work in this community for so many years and have enjoyed all of my life experiences. It has been a joy to be able to work with some great people in my salon over the past 30 years.”

The mission at Headliners is to consistently bring their clients the freshest styles and ideas by keeping up with the current trends and constantly educating themselves about the best practices. Their close attention to the details of customer’s service, and high standards in the cleanliness in the salon have kept their clients coming back for 30 years. All of the salon’s stylists support one another in their personal strengths and goals within the beauty industry and the community.

Canyon Lake resident Linda Paternostro is a stylist who works at the salon. Colleen said she hired Linda because she is a fantastic color technician who does beautiful work. Linda works three to four days a week.

Colleen gave birth to twin girls the year before she opened the salon. Her daughter, Aimee Lemmer, works along side Colleen as a nail technician.

“Aimee does some beautiful things,” said Colleen. “It’s been wonderful watching her grow into the wonderful woman and mother that she is today.” Colleen and Aimee are both thankful to be able to work together as a mother-daughter team.

New clients are always welcomed to the salon. Colleen is offering new clients 10 percent off any hair service through the month of August. To receive this offer, call 951-244-6811 and mention this article.

Headliners Hair and Nail Salon is located at 31524 Railroad Canyon Rd., Ste. 3.
