Women’s Golf Club to host Pink on the Links Tournament

The Women’s Golf Club will host its 18th annual Pink on the Links Breast Cancer Tournament on July 25 with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. All Canyon Lake golfers are welcome to participate.

The format is Goofy Golf with a four-person scramble. There will be a Ladies Flight, Couple’s Flight and a Men’s Flight. Prizes will be awarded in each division.

The entry fee is $40 and includes lunch at the country club.  There will be an additional green fee for non-annual members.

The proceeds from this event will go to Michelle’s Place, a breast cancer resource center in Murrieta that has helped many Canyon Lake women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. The Canyon Lake Women’s Golf Club was established in 1971 and is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association. The club meets on Tuesdays in the Magnolia Room at the country club.

Women wishing to play must check in before 7:30 a.m.; start time is 8 a.m. In the spring and summer the club meets at 7 a.m. Major tournaments include the President’s Cup, Club Championship and Senior Tournament. For more information, call Darlene Cortez at 951-244-4751.
