Canyon Laker celebrates 20 years in business

Billie Wahid, a 17-year resident of Canyon Lake, celebrated 20 years in business with a Customer Appreciation event at her GNC store in Lake Elsinore on June 3.

Billie opened the GNC store 20 years ago after being diagnosed with chronic fatigue. Her doctors recommended a healthy diet and vitamins. After following her doctor’s advice, the chronic fatigue subsided.

Billie made it her mission to educate others about natural remedies. She enlisted two business partners and opened a GNC franchise.

As a way of giving back to her customers, Billie lowered her prices and offers price matching. She also added free delivery within 5 miles of her store and to all Canyon Lake residents.

In the community, Billie gives back through charitable contributions to local high schools and Canyon Lake clubs.
