POA to hold 4th of July reservation lotteries

Holiday Harbor Park and Happy Camp are two of the best viewing spots to watch the July 4th fireworks show in Canyon Lake. These two locations are in high demand on the 4th of July. The POA holds lotteries for campsite reservations at Happy Camp and for picnic table reservations at Holiday Harbor Park.

The lottery for picnic table reservations at Holiday Harbor Park will be held at the POA office on Saturday, June 24 at 9 a.m. There are 17 tables available. Members who enter the lottery must be present to win, show a valid POA card and be in good standing with the POA. Only one table reservations per tract and lot is allowed. The rest of the park will be available on a first come, first served basis for residents to set up their own canopies and seating areas to watch the fireworks.

Lottery tickets for Happy Camp campsites can be picked up at the campground office June 10 through June 16 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Only one lottery entry will be issued per tract and lot. The lottery will be held at Happy Camp on Saturday, June 17 at 10 a.m. Lottery ticket holders must be present to win.

Members who enter must show their POA card and be a member in good standing with the POA.

Winners must agree to a $30 non-refundable deposit and pay for a minimum of three days (July 3, 4 and 5). Holiday rates are $55 per day. Winners will get to choose their campsite on a first come, first served basis. There are approximately 40 campsites available.
