July 4th camp lottery starts June 10

Happy Camp is one of the best view points to watch the 4th of July fireworks show. The campground is just yards away from Skippers Island where the fireworks are launched, so it’s a fun destination for Canyon Lakers and their guests to enjoy without leaving the gates. Campsites are in high demand for the 4th of July.

The POA awards campsite reservations through a lottery system. Lottery tickets can be picked up June 10 through June 16 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Only one lottery entry will be issued per tract and lot. The lottery will be held at Happy Camp on Saturday, June 17 at 10 a.m. Lottery ticket holders must be present to win.

Members who enter must show their POA card and be a member in good standing with the Association. Winners must agree to a $30 non-refundable deposit and pay for a minimum of three days (July 3, 4 and 5). Holiday rates are $55 per day.

Winners will get to choose their campsite on a first come, first serve basis. There are approximately 40 campsites available.
