Riverside County Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony on May 22

Every year, all law enforcement agencies within Riverside County come together to honor and remember fallen officers at the Riverside County Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony.

The 2017 Riverside County Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony will be held Monday, May 22, at 6:15 p.m. in front of the “Safe in His Arms Memorial” at 4102 Orange Street, Riverside.

The Memorial Run will begin promptly at 5:45. It is a moderate two-mile jog for people of all ages. Early arrival is encouraged.

The Memorial Ceremony will begin immediately following the run. The ceremony will include a multi-agency helicopter fly-over and a fallen officer tribute.

Two officers who were tragically killed in the line of duty, Officer Lesley Zerebny and Officer Jose “Gil” Vega of the Palm Springs Police Department, will be added to the memorial this year.
