More than two hundred local women packed the Holiday Bay Room last Friday for the Woman’s Club annual Fashion Show. The “Once Upon a Time” themed show featured, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Humpty Dumpty and the king’s men, Glinda the Good Witch and Maleficent to name a few.

The event included a catered lunch by the Lighthouse Restaurant, door prizes, silent auction, cash grand prizes and raffles for 12 theme baskets with an approximate value of $200 each and grand prizes.

Vicki Young was won of the lucky winners who walked away with one of the five $500 cash grand prizes.

Members of the club modeled fashions provided by Me Boutique, Bombshells, Amani, Golf Pro Shop and Gyspsy Sunset. Entertainment was provided by local DJ and entertainer Aprile DeAnne.

The next major community event put on by the Woman’s Club will be the 3rd annual Mermaid Festival in August at Indian Beach. The event includes a Cardboard Boat Race and Pirate Battle, along with food and vendor booths, children’s crafts, contests and the crowning of the Mermaid Court.
