The Canyon Lake Golf Course offers a variety of programs for juniors, including golf lessons, a development program and summer golf camp.

Junior golf lessons are available by appointment. Lessons are $25 for a 30 minute session; $100 for five 30 minute sessions; $40 for one hour sessions and $100 for three one hour sessions. Signups are taken at the Golf Pro Shop.

The Junior Development Program is a golf instructional program for children ages 4 to 14. It runs every Sunday at 1 p.m. and Wednesdays at 4 p.m. There is testing every month to provide students with the ability to move on to a higher level. Once the student passes all three levels they are eligible to play with the advanced group. The registration fee is $100 and includes the first month payment, hat and golf shirt. Monthly fees are $60.

The following instructional stages are available:

Rookie Stage: This stage is for children ages 4 to 6 and provides an introduction to golf in a safe and game-themed environment. It provides students with the skills necessary to succeed in the next levels. Skills include running, jumping, throwing and catching.

Champion Stage: This stage is for children ages 7 to 10. It introduces students to the basics of putting, chipping and full swing while maintaining proper mechanics. Students will be allowed to play on the course after required tests.

Master Stage: This stage is for children ages 11 to 14. It emphasis on physical components such as flexibility, power and balance. This is the elite level and a majority of the students in this level are participating in local junior events.
