The Guild presents ‘Creedence Clearwater’ tribute band

The next concert sponsored by the Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild will be Fortunate Son, a band billed as the number one tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) and John Fogerty. The concert is set for Saturday, May 20, at 7 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. Tickets are $45 for VIP Reserved; $25 for General Admission.

Tickets are available now on the Fine Arts Guild’s website at canyonlakeguild.com. General Admission tickets can be purchased at Member Services at the POA.

Benefactor Patrons should already have their season tickets from Membership Director Sue Bonner. Benefactor Sponsors need to acquire their tickets and seat selection by sending an email to canyonlakeguild@gmail.com.

Combining timeless CCR favorites as well as John Fogerty solo hits, Fortunate Son’s stated goal is to personify the spirit and grit of America’s favorite rock and roll band. Guild Program Director Ron Martel stated, “This show is for all age groups and unites rock, country, blues, and folk music fans together like no other act can.”

Fortunate Son was featured on AXS TV’s “The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands.” AXS TV host and producer Katie Daryl said, “I loved seeing Fortunate Son, our Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute, because that’s my go-to band!” Band leader Brad Ford stated, “The band is committed to delivering CCR classics with the authentic sound, look and feel of John Fogerty and his band.”

Fortunate Son will present a show of continuous chart busting hits, from the swampy blues of “Born on the Bayou” and “Green River” to the country influences of “Bad Moon Rising” and “Centerfield” to the rock anthems of “Proud Mary” and “Suzy Q,” to the sultry sounds of “Who’ll Stop the Rain” and “Lodi.”

Since 1994, Brad Ford has starred as John Fogerty in tribute to his favorite group, Creedence Clearwater Revival. Over the years the show has continued to rise in popularity even before being featured on AXS TV.

Fortunate Son performs across America, Canada, Europe and Asia. This show is in high demand at casinos, state and county fairs, corporate events and for U.S. troops at home and abroad.

Following this event, the Fine Arts Guild will be offering the community a free summer concert at Holiday Harbor with Fleetwood Mac (Little Lies Band) on August 5. More information on this event will be announced in the next couple months.

Following the concert at Holiday Harbor, the Fine Arts Guild will then return to the lodge with Santana (Smooth Sounds) on October 14 and The Beach Boys (Catch a Wave) December 2.
