Roadrunners RV Club camps at Pechanga RV Resort

Nineteen Canyon Lake RV rigs traveled to Pechanga for a camping trip at the Pechanga RV Resort from March 19 to 23. The committee was headed by Dennis and Susan Pitts and included Robb and Pat Smith, Larry and Sparrow Greene and Steve and Joanie Evarts.

Trip activities included golf at the Journey Golf Course, gambling at the Pechanga Casino, shopping, wine tastings, games, and  committee catered breakfasts and dinners. Joanie and Steve Evarts won the ladder golf competition; Janis and Ray Rodriguez won the hoop toss competition.

Members Larry and Sparrow Greene hosted an informative RV safety and CPR seminar for the group.

Vail Lake Resort will be the club’s destination for its April trip. In May, the club’s trip will be a three-stop “go’go” trip beginning with three nights at the Jackson Rancheria RV Park in Jackson, California, followed by three nights at the 49er RV Ranch in Columbia, California, and three nights at the Bakersfield RV Resort.

Any resident who owns an RV is welcome to join the Roadrunners RV Club. The club holds dinner meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. Social hour begins at 5 p.m., dinner is served at 6 p.m. In addition to monthly dinner meetings, the club takes between six and eight trips per year.
