Meet POA Board candidates at upcoming forums

The “Meet the Candidates” and “Speak to the Candidates” forums provide residents with an opportunity to learn more about the candidates running for POA Board of Directors and where they stand on POA related issues.

The first forum will be held at the Senior Center on April 8 at 10 a.m. This forum is sponsored by the Senior Work Group. Seating is limited, attendees should arrive early.

The fourth annual “Speak to the Candidates” will be held on April 10 at 7 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the Lodge. This forum is sponsored by 25 Canyon Lake clubs and organizations. At this forum homeowners will be able to speak directly to the candidates with questions that are important to them and hear firsthand each candidate’s response. A spokesperson for this event said more than 200 people attended last year’s forum.

Resident Joanna Spiller and Riverside County Supervisor Kevin Jeffries will serve as moderators. The forum will not be televised.

The Chamber is hosting a “Meet the  Candidates” luncheon on Wednesday, April 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall.

This forum will provide an opportunity for the candidates to speak to residents, local business owners and Chamber members.

The luncheon will be catered by The Sports Stop and The Cup Above. Lunch is $8. Reservations are suggested and can be made by calling the Chamber at 951-244-6124.
