Lions Club collects 500 pairs of eyeglasses for fundraiser

On Saturday, March 18h, the Canyon Lake Lions Club joined with other Lions Clubs throughout California and hosted a “Lions Eyes Across California” campaign in an effort to collect used eyeglasses, cell phones and hearing aids. The club collected 500 pairs of eyeglasses, 125 pair of sunglasses, hearing aids and cell phones. These items will be prepared to be given to needy families at no cost.

Residents who wish to donate unwanted eyeglasses may do so by placing them in the collection boxes at Pack, Wrap and Post and the Canyon Lake Country Club.
