Letters: Canceled Event

Editor, The Friday Flyer:

The Jr. Women’s Club (JWC) wants to let everyone know that we will not be hosting our annual Easter Carnival this year. This event has been popular within the community for the past 20 years, but we have determined that the amount of work and effort needed to accomplish this large event is not possible with our current member count and availability of their volunteer time.

We have decided as a group that JWC needs to focus our availability on our upcoming golf tournament that helps us raise funds for our scholarship program and a few new events that don’t require as much manpower, but are still fun for the community and help us raise funds for philanthropic activities. Now that the Family Matters Club has there wonderful Glow-in-the-Dark Easter Carnival, it seems like the perfect time to make a move toward different ventures.

Thank you to everyone who has attended and supported our Easter Carnival and other events in the past. We hope to see you at our future events.
