POA appoints Eric Kazakoff to general manager position

The POA has appointed Eric Kazakoff, former director of operations, to the position of general manager. Eric was hired in October 2016 to replace Mike Morrow who resigned from the director of operations position in September.

Eric’s spent the majority of his career in senior business management roles. His professional background includes more than 35 years of experience in construction and facility management. In addition to managing his own construction company, he’s served multiple years as the chief executive officer of a heavy construction equipment and vehicle auctioneering company. He also served two terms on the Board of Directors for a homeowners association that represents 4,000 residents.

Eric will directly oversee Operations, Human Resources, Accounting, Information Technology and Contracts. Currently, Eric also is focusing on filling the human resources manager and director of operations positions.

“We are very excited that Eric has accepted the general manager position, and to be quite candid we think the community will be really impressed with his work ethic and management skills.” said POA Board of Directors President Bruce Yarbrough. “Eric has a dynamic background and from day one we saw his exceptional leadership skills as he took control of the management of multiple projects.”

In addition to appointing a new general manager, the POA has created a new assistant general manager position. In doing so, its able to divide the daily operational management so that more attention is provided to all areas.

Lynn Jensen, who was hired in 2001, has been appointed to this new position. Throughout her years of employment, Lynn has worked in just about every position at the POA. The POA said Lynn has developed strong leadership skills and has a great working relationship with staff, management, vendors, the membership and the Board of Directors.

In her new position, Lynn will report directly to the general manager and be responsible for overseeing  Planning and Compliance, Communications and Marketing, Member Services, Activities, and Food and Beverage.

Eric said he is excited to start this new journey as general manager. “Knowing I have someone as experienced and qualified as Lynn to help me lead made my decision to take the role even easier.”

The POA said the Board will be working closely with the pair to ensure that Canyon Lake’s property owners continue to be provided with the best amenities, resources and services possible.
