All are welcome to join in on Travel Club trips

The Travel Club invites all residents to join in on club parties and travel adventures. The club hosts three dinner-dance parties and several single-day and multi-day trips throughout the year.

Travel Club functions are open to Canyon Lakers who would like to attend even though they are not members of the club. Those interested in attending a club event should contact the person in charge of the event; arrangements can be made to attend and get acquainted with the club.

A single-day trip to “Little Italy” in San Diego is planned for May 6. The bus departs from the Lodge at 8:30 a.m. and will return approximately at 4:30 p.m. The cost is $70 for members; $75 for non-members. The reservation deadline is April 19.

The next planned single-day trip will be a two-hour excursion aboard John Wayne’s Wild Goose Ship on July 15. Brunch includes several food stations, free flowing champagne, coffee and soft drinks. The bus departs from the Lodge at 10 a.m. and will return approximately at 4 p.m.  The cost is $102 for members; $107 for non-members. The reservation deadline is June 16.

The club will be going to Hotel Playa Mazatlan October 9 through 16. A spokesperson for the club says, “This has always been a very popular trip.”

The airfare is approximately $400 per person; rooms are $1008 per room for two people for 7 nights. All rooms have ocean view and include meals and drinks. A $150 room deposit is due by May 1.
