‘American Pickers’ seeking people with interesting items

A spokesperson for the History channel’s “American Pickers” television show reached out The Friday Flyer to let us know that co-stars Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz are heading to California this spring and are looking for leads throughout the region, specifically interesting people with interesting items and lots of them.

“American Pickers” premiered on the History channel in 2010. The show chronicles two antique and collectible pickers, Mike and Frank, as they travel around the U.S. looking in homes, junkyards, barns, basements and garages for hidden gems and collectibles to rescue. Their “picks” are then resold or kept for their own personal collections.

Mike is a 20-year veteran picker and creator of the show. Frank, is his childhood friend and business partner.

“They are very much looking forward to their visit and want to make sure they are able to get in touch with collectors in the county who might be interested,” says the spokesperson.
