Leading up to the Home Tour, The Friday Flyer has featured one home a week for the last four weeks. The fifth and final featured home is the home of Chris and Barbara Poland at 30688 Spyglass Way.

The Poland’s mission style home has a wonderful sentiment of old Los Angeles. Entering through an impressive iron and glass door you are graced with a grand living area with high vaulted ceilings adorned with massive Douglas fir beams.

The dining room is decorated with century old family heirlooms. The kitchen is magnificent with alder wood cabinets and Typhoon Bordeaux granite counter tops. A barn door covers a storage pantry. The iron chandeliers and birch wood floors pull this area all together.

The couple enjoy their two his and her offices with great views of the local mountains. The master bedroom opens up with views of the fairway and mountains. It has two unique bathrooms for each of them. That’s where you will find a hallway of cabinetry and the vast walk-in closet with an antique desk and sitting area.

The lower level has an impressive guest room with a wet bar and an outside area with a covered patio. For the Home Tour and the holidays Chris and Barbara’s home will be decorated with a unique collection of nativity scenes, Christmas trees and ornaments which they have collected from their world travels.
