The annual Winter Carnival has a new location this year. The carnival, hosted by the Family Matters Club, will take place at Holiday Harbor Park from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 3.

This free community event will feature bounce houses, holiday games and crafts, horse carriage rides, trackless train rides, falling “snow” and holiday tunes. Santa and Mrs. Claus will make an appearance and give families an opportunity to take photographs with them. The snack bar will be selling holiday goodies.

There will be a section for children to write letters to Santa. Children can hand deliver their letter to Santa at the event or place in a special North Pole mailbox.

For the parents, there will be a vendor shopping area, raffle basket table and an opportunity drawing for six Christmas trees. The opportunity to win one of the six trees is free to enter; however, residents who win the Christmas trees must take them home at the end of the event.

Adena Evans, the Family Matters Club event coordinator, says, “Come on out to the park and help us kick off the holiday season. We look forward to seeing everyone.”
