Single-vehicle crash causes damage to parked RV

A Ford Ranger struck a parked RV and overturned on Big Range Rd. in the late afternoon of Monday, October 10. The accident was one of two major accidents in Canyon Lake that day. According to witnesses, the driver and passenger ran from the scene of the accident. Deputy Gill of the Riverside Sheriff’s Department says, “The driver left the scene but was later identified. A case will be filed against him.”

Deputy Gill further stated that the driver was a guest, not a resident, and that property damage was the only damage that occurred. He says, “A resident witnessed the driver leaving the scene and he seemed to be fine.”

Deputy Gill was not on duty when the earlier accident occurred on San Joaquin Dr., so he could not comment on it.
