Residents invited to ribbon-cutting at Outrigger Park

The Association invites residents to a ship-themed ribbon-cutting ceremony at Outrigger Park (23950 Outrigger Dr.) today, September 30, at 1 p.m.

The playground installation at the park is now complete. The new playground design is a ship-themed playset complete with wind sails and a matching swing set. The installation of modernized play equipment makes this playground more accessible and family friendly.

Outrigger’s previous playground equipment and climbing structures were outdated, and in need of replacement and enhancement. At the Association’s July 7, 2015 Regular Session Board Meeting, the Board approved replacing the outdated equipment.

Preparation began in December 2015, when the outdated equipment was removed. The ship-themed conceptual design was presented to the community at the April 5, 2016 Regular Session Board Meeting. This park is one of several that have been updated as part of the Association’s Beautification Initiative, introduced in 2013.
