On a perfect weather evening, August 20, the Yacht Club held its 13th annual Moonlight Cruise. It began at Holiday Harbor with dinner catered by Thomas Catering. After dinner, 46 members and six guests boarded six pontoons and one ski boat to cruise the Main Lake, finally settling in Catfish Cove to await the rising of the full moon.
“It did finally appear and what a beautiful moon it was with its bright orange glowing beautifully,” says Commodore Bob Templeton. “As Bert Barbay put it, ‘We had wonderful attendance and camaraderie, perfect weather, superb food and beverages, and one of the best moonlight cruises ever.’”
There were 14 new members who attended a Yacht Club event for the first time.
