$100,000 Pyramid with Melissa Vogel is rescheduled

Cast in the ABC game show, “$100,000 Pyramid,” Canyon Lake resident Melissa Vogel is in an episode that has been rescheduled to show on Sunday, August 21, at 9 p.m.

The episode already has been filmed. Melissa isn’t allowed to say whether she won big or came home empty-handed, but she’s excited to share the experience with her Canyon Lake friends and neighbors.

The episode originally was scheduled for August 13, but due to conflicts with Olympics programming, it was rescheduled to this weekend, according to Melissa.

However, since the Closing Ceremonies are scheduled for 8 p.m. this Sunday, it seems possible Melissa’s show could be rescheduled again.

Melissa is a fitness professional, including being a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, as well as a fitness model and actress. She is an instructor and personal trainer at Canyon Fitness.

Melissa is happily married and the mother of three daughters, ages 10, 7 and 4 years old. With her family, she relocated to Canyon Lake In March 2013 from Michigan.

Of her experience with the The $100,000 Pyramid, Melissa says, “The game show actually approached me and asked if I would audition to be a contestant! I had auditioned for another TV show a few months earlier and did not get the role. However, I must have had a killer audition, because the casting director remembered me and asked if I would try out for $100,000 Pyramid. So I proceeded with the auditioning process and continued to get moved to the next phase.”

“Before I knew it I was on a flight to NYC,” she adds. “I was extremely excited about this opportunity because I grew up watching the show back when Dick Clark was the host, and remembered exactly how to play.

I knew being selected to participate, regardless if I won any money or not, would be an opportunity of a lifetime. Everyone was amazing and took such good care of us when we arrived!”
