Spock and Cheech

Spock is a 1-year-old, black and white, male Chihuahua mix. He is a terrific little guy, good with kids and other dogs. Spock is housebroken and already neutered, ready to go to his new forever home. His Intake number is 301925, and his Reference Picture number is 0734.

Cheech is a 4-month-old, orange, male Domestic Short Hair. He playful with lots of energy, good with kids and other cats. Cheech is already litter-box trained. He will need to be neutered before going to his new loving home. Cheech’s Intake number is 301522, and his Reference Picture number is 0574.

The shelter is located at 33751 Mission Trail in Wildomar. Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It offers animals for adoption as well as providing animal control and spay/neuter services.

  • AFV has a spay and neuter clinic and also offers vaccinations and microchip implants at the old shelter location, 29001 Bastron Ave. in Lake Elsinore. It is open Mondays and Thursdays only. For an appointment, call 951-674-7729 (SPAY) or 951-374-3491.
  • Residents can help save animals that would otherwise be put down by providing temporary housing. Information regarding the foster program, low-cost vaccination clinics, and more can be found at animalfriendsofthevalleys.com or call 951-471-8344.
  • AFV is asking for help with their care of homeless cats by purchasing Tidy Cats litter (clumping or non-clumping) and/or Friskies Pate Classic canned food. “With so many cats and kittens being cared for at this time our supply is low,” says AFV caretakers.
