Junior Tennis Tournament is this Sunday

The Canyon Lake Tennis Club will sponsor a Junior Tennis Tournament this Sunday, March 20, at noon at the Tennis Center.

Club President Marga Kidd says, “Come and join the fun and check out the talent of these Junior players! Most of the kids started with our Kids Summer Tennis Program, offered in June and taught by Tennis Pro Baba Soysa. They have continued taking lessons from Baba on a weekly basis and have turned out to be very competitive players.”

Coach Bobby Kielty also works with the Juniors twice a week. This tournament will end the current Junior session. After a break, it will start up again. The Tennis Program is headed by Pro Baba Soysa and sponsored by the Canyon Lake Tennis Club.

Marga says the club looks forward to having junior USTA teams in addition to the many adult teams that already represent Canyon Lake well with all their championships. She adds, “Come out and support our kids!”
