Tour de Canyon Lake bike ride to roll out March 20

The Canyon Lake Fitness and Triathlon Club is hosting the 5th annual Tour de Canyon Lake bike ride on Sunday, March 20, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Lodge parking lot.

There is no cost to enter and no need to pre-register. In exchange for a donation of pet food, pet supplies or a financial contribution, the first 50 participants to register receive an event T-shirt. The proceeds of the event go to Animal Friends of the Valleys. In lieu of a donation, a limited supply of T-shirts is available for $10 each.

The full tour is about 15 miles around the community and takes about an hour to complete. Bicyclists are welcome to ride a shorter route if they have small children or wish to avoid the big hill. The approximate route is as follows:

• Lodge to Main Gate to the end of Continental.
• Continental to the East Gate
• East Gate to the Campground
• Return to the Lodge

This year, Animal Friends of the Valley has put out a special request for clumping formula cat litter. They also suggest wet cat food, dry kitten food, dry cat food, dry puppy food, dry small breed dog food, dry dog food and wet dog food. Any donation is appreciated.
