  • JWC Charity Golf Tournament

The Canyon Lake Jr. Women’s Club is hosting its 7th annual Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, March 12, at the Canyon Lake Golf Course. All proceeds go towards the club’s scholarship program.   • Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley’s St. Patrick’s Day 2016 Golf Classic is scheduled for March 18 at Temecula Creek Inn in Temecula. Win a trip to the Masters or Super Bowl LI in Houston, two-night, three-day getaways, drivers, gift certificates and more. Golfer spots are $160 per golfer or $600 per foursome. After Lunch Bunch

Last week the format for the After Lunch Bunch game was Partners Best Ball with the following results:

A Flight – 1st: Bob Stinson and Carlos Ramirez, 60; 2nd: Jim Paulis and Bill Hallahan, 62; 3rd: Jeff Roach and Randy Bonner, 64; 4th: Bill Levis and Oscar Rowland, 64.

B Flight – 1st: Pete Mortensen and Svenn Henrichsen, 60; 2nd: Brian Helmer and Joe Strong, 61; 3rd: Jim Musser and Ed Doidge, 67; 4th: Harry Larson and Tom D’Amato, 69.

Next week, the “Bunch” will be playing Six-Six-Six; the ALB Committee will be selecting the teams.

The After Lunch Bunch is now in the 36th year of providing a Friday game for any male golfer with a handicap. Sign up between 8:30 and 9:15 a.m. in the Magnolia Room, or by phone at 249-4565 or 237-6102. The weekly game is open to all Canyon Lakers with an established handicap. The entry fee is $5; there is an optional skins game for an additional $5.

Beginner Golf Lessons

Due to popular demand, the 9ers Golf Club and Head Pro Pat Kemball will be offering another series of Beginner Golf Lessons combined with a level 2 Series. This is a series of four lessons, starting February 24, for a cost of $100. Sign up in the Golf Pro Shop.

The 9ers Golf Club is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association. The group meets in the Magnolia Room at 9:30 a.m. each Thursday before heading out to play nine holes of golf. Family Golf Club

The Family Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA). It holds open meetings the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the Country Club.  Members play Wednesday afternoons. Applications for the Family Golf Club are available at clfamilygolf.com or contact Mary Leathley at 951-244-0114.
