Today at the Library, ‘If you give a mouse . . .’

Who knows what happens if you give a mouse a cookie? Get the answer at Miss Ginny’s Preschool Story Time today, December 4, when the theme will be cookies. This activity begins at 11:30 a.m. in the City Multi-purpose Room/Council Chamber and includes music, stories and a craft.  Children should sign in at the Library to receive their name tag for the program.

On Monday, December 7, the Library will host Toddler Story Time at 11 a.m. and Spanish Time at 3 p.m. Spanish Time is a fun program introducing children in grades K-5 to Spanish words and language. Each program is independent making it possible for a child to come to any session. It meets 3 p.m. every first and third Monday of the month.

The Library offers books, movies, magazines and music downloads. It has research databases and children’s programs like BookFlix and Go. There are periodicals and newspapers in English and Spanish, in addition to information databases for business, biography, health and other professional information. World Book Encyclopedia is available online at www.rivlib.net with a library membership. First library cards are free with ID and proof of address.

The Canyon Lake Library is located inside the City Hall building. It’s open Mondays, 10 to 7, Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 to 6, and Saturdays 10 to 3. It’s closed Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. The Canyon Lake Library is a member of the Riverside County Library System (www.rivlib.net) honoring cards and returns from other affiliated libraries.
