Don’t worry about that tall staircase on the street side of this home. Park as close as possible and a golf cart shuttle will take guests to the front door of this beautiful Old World Tuscan home. This 4,200 sq. ft. residence is designed with a reverse floor plan to offer maximum views of the Main Lake.

A full-size Santa Claus welcomes guests as they enter through huge double glass and cherrywood doors. A curved staircase in the entryway is carpeted with English wool and framed with handcrafted wrought iron railings featuring hearts that reflect the name of the Stanyon’s Heart to Heart Foundation.

In addition to stairs, an elevator is available to reach the main level. The open concept Italian kitchen features African cherrywood cabinets with hand-carved accents of Tuscan influence. Stone floors connect to rich distressed hardwood floors in the living area. Rustic Italian wood provides a unifying theme of floors, interior doors, window frames, plantation shutters and cabinetry.

Ready for Christmas, the living room offers the best of all worlds with its uniquely designed fireplace, large screen TV and panoramic views of the Main Lake. This floor includes 1,000 square feet of outdoor decks and an outdoor fireplace.

The double hardwood doors lead to a master suite featuring another fireplace, more English wool carpeting and another view of the Main Lake. The master bath features a soaking tub and a stone cave shower with European flair.

Unique to this home is the lower level cigar bar featuring the fourth fireplace, wet bar, large leather chairs and more views of the lake.

Lynne Schlosser has been collecting Christmas ornaments for more than 30 years, which find a wonderful backdrop in this 3,400 sq. ft. Mediterranean-style home. Enter through a double front door surrounded by four two-story columns. Inside see the ironwork staircase and a step down into a sunken lounge where there is a beautifully decorated Christmas tree.

Walk through the formal dining room to the cozy kitchen with views of the surrounding hills, and on into the family room with a floor to ceiling river rock fireplace.

Step out onto the balcony to look down to the gorgeous Mediterranean pool and spa and take in the fabulous view. A few steps onwards brings one to a viewing room that has an ambient lighting system that will be on display during the tour.

The Cortez home is the smallest on the tour and filled to the brim with cheery Christmas spirit. Everywhere one looks there are decorations in keeping with Carmen’s theme, “Christmas Around the World.”

From the telephone booth and red, white and blue ornaments depicting Britain to the model train hurtling its way through miniature Alps and snow-covered animated houses of Switzerland, the theme is everywhere.

The lovely hillside view from the kitchen window sets the scene for a visit to Mexico and the Posada, a Christmas festival originating in Latin America that dramatizes Joseph and Mary’s search for lodging. A Christmas tree, decorated in gold and burgundy stands beside the fireplace in the great room, not too far from a Las Vegas slot machine – apparently Santa is a gambler!

Down the hallway is Santa’s workshop where preparations are well underway. A long list of who has been “naughty or nice” rolls off the printer and the room is stacked high with gifts, ready to be delivered. At the end of the hall, see a bit of Asia in the Asian themed tree.

This home is situated on the Main Lake with a view of the Lodge and Lighthouse. It is completely remodeled, featuring 4,650 sq. ft. of living space that includes five bedrooms and four and one-half baths. The 14-foot ceilings enhance the massiveness of entry into the great room.

The multipurpose design offers a cozy area to curl up in front of a fireplace and watch movies on the flat screen mounted above the mantle; or stretch the legs out in a big chair in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows and watch the tranquility of the lake with boats cruising by.

Adjacent to the formal dining room is a stunning kitchen with high end appliances. The white marble Island offers the perfect advantage to socialize, take in the view, or watch football while whipping up those Christmas cookies. Below the garden window, sits a stainless steel country sink with a glass backsplash that is surrounded by white granite counters.

The master suite on the main floor has sweeping views of the lake and all the features one expects in such a high quality of remodel. However, the “Oprah Winfrey” style bathtub under a sparkling chandelier and the cedar-lined walk-in closet are a cut above.

The lower level provides a second great room, wet bar and large balcony, again maximizing the spectacular view of the Main Lake. This large lower level also has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The theme, “California Christmas Winterland,” begins the moment one pulls up in front of this 3,000 sq. ft. two-bedroom, four-bath home with its palm-lined circular driveway.

Through leaded glass doors, one enters the great room, an all-purpose living area that’s perfect for the owners’ massive Christmas collection. Natural wood beams accent the vaulted ceiling and enhance the spaciousness of the room, decorated in a cool gray color palette.

The custom tops of the kitchen counters, breakfast bar, breakfast nook table, formal dining room table and coffee tables are made from the same natural gray granite. The floor-to-ceiling fireplace next to the huge entertainment center draws family together to enjoy a winter evening.

The stairs to the lower level are steep but worth the trip. Daughter Sara Price, professional Motocross racer, will provide a tour of her hundreds of awards and accomplishments, including Rallye Aicha des Gazelles, a nine-day off-road rally through Southern Morocco.

Two beautifully decorated Christmas trees and lots of snow throughout the home provide a backdrop for the wide array of Anna Lee dolls and mechanical and soft-stuffed Christmas characters.

Thousands of twinkle lights make the entire home sparkle. The Thomas Kinkade lifelike moving creatures and toy trains are a treat to see. Every corner is decorated and ready for the family festivities.

Be sure to check out the snowman-themed guest bathroom. The shower is stacked high with gifts. Out the glass doors to the deck, the Christmas celebration continues with a peaceful view of Little Fish Cove. With the beautiful built-in barbecue, this large deck provides the perfect place for family and friends to enjoy a warm California Christmas afternoon.
