CLPOA Board Meeting

The next meeting of the POA Board of Directors is scheduled for Tuesday, December 1, at 7 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room. The agenda will be posted at www.canyonlakepoa.com. The meeting will stream live at the website and be broadcast on Time Warner Channel 29 and Verizon Channel 39.

Dog Park

The Dog Park Plot Plan currently is being reviewed by the City of Canyon Lake. The plan is to build the dog park on the full length of the dirt area adjacent to the East Port boat launch parking lot, dividing it into two fenced areas for large and small dogs and including shaded areas for seating.

Main Gate ADR

The Main Gate Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) occurred as scheduled on Tuesday, November 10. The judge is expected to announce his decision by the end of this month.

At the September Board meeting, Legal Counsel Scott Levine announced that an analysis conducted by the Association’s Reserve expert determined that the proposed Main Gate Project as approved by the Board of Directors does not violate the Bylaws and is a Reserve item.

However, after hearing strong opposition from some members of the community, the Board of Directors unanimously decided to bring the issue to an arbitrator through the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process.

During the ADR, six members testified and presented exhibits in opposition to the proposed Main Gate Project.

CLPOA Classes

The Association offers a variety of classes that are held weekly. All classes can be purchased at the Member Services office or at the Pool. Instructors cannot accept payments. The Fish Out of Water class will not be held this winter. For more information on classes, visit www.canyonlakepoa.com.
