Women’s Golf Turkey Shoot
Signups are being accepted for the last Jack and Jill Tournament of the year.
The Turkey Shoot, “Wanted,” is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, with an 8 a.m. shotgun. All Canyon Lake Golf Clubs are invited. Lunch will follow at the Country Club.

The Women’s Golf Club meets regularly on Tuesdays to play 18 holes of golf. CLWGC is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association, responsible for handicapping services for members. After Lunch Bunch
The After Lunch Bunch once again is playing in Canyon Lake and spokesperson Jim Magill says, “How sweet it is to be back home! Even though the grass is tall, we’re spending a lot of time looking for balls, and we’re on “cart paths only,” it’s still great to back in our friendly environs.
One of our shortest fields of the year showed up last Friday for a format of Individual Tin Whistle with two flights. Winners were as follows:
A Flight – 1st: Fran Pothier, 19 ; 2nd: Bobby Gunter, 19; 3rd: Tom Scudieri, 17; 4th: Jeff Roach, 14
B Flight – 1st: Lee Lilly, 14; 2nd: Pete Mortensen, 14; 3rd: Jim Musser, 12; 4th: Joe Washle, 12
Skins winners were Tom Scudieri, Bobby Gunter, Hal Stiffler, Fran Pothier, Jeff Roach and Walt Popper.
Next Friday, November 6, the game will be Two Best Balls and Three Best Balls.
The weekly game is open to all Canyon Lakers with an established handicap. Signups take place on Friday mornings in the Magnolia Room, or by phone at 249-4565 or 237-6102. Tee time is 10 a.m. The entry fee is $5; there is an optional skins game for an additional $5.
The Men’s Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) and holds regular open meetings the first Wednesday of each month in the Magnolia Room at the Country Club.
The 9ers Golf Club is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association. The group tees off at 10 a.m. on Thursdays for nine holes of golf. Any level golfer is welcome, including those who’ve only had a few lessons. Be in the Magnolia Room 30 minutes before tee time. Family Golf Club
The Family Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA). It holds open meetings the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the Country Club.
