After Lunch Bunch

While the Golf Course was closed for over-seeding, the After Lunch Bunch traveled to other courses for their Friday games. Two weeks ago, 23 Canyon Lakers traveled to The Legends at Temeku for a game of Individual Tin Whistle with the following results;

A Flight – 1st: Fran Pothier, 22; 2nd: Bob Stinson, 21; 3rd: Hal Stiffler, 20

B Flight – 1st: Joe Washle, 24; 2nd: Ed Doidge, 22; 3rd: Pete Mortensen, 22

Skins winners were Bob Stinson, Dennis Franks, Hal Stiffler, Carlos Ramirez and Fran Pothier.

This week’s Individual Tin Whistle game is at Dos Lagos in Corona with 7:30 a.m. tee time.

The After Lunch Bunch will return to regular Friday games on October 30, and will revert to the winter tee time of 10:15 a.m. The weekly game is open to all Canyon Lakers with an established handicap. Signups take place on Friday mornings in the Magnolia Room, or by phone at 249-4565 or 237-6102. The entry fee is $5; there is an optional skins game for an additional $5.

Men’s Golf

The Men’s Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) and holds regular open meetings the first Wednesday of each month in the Magnolia Room at the Country Club.

Women’s Golf

The Women’s Golf Club meets regularly on Tuesdays to play 18 holes of golf. CLWGC is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association, responsible for handicapping services for members. 9ers Golf

The 9ers Golf Club is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association. The group tees off at 10 a.m. on Thursdays for nine holes of golf. Any level golfer is welcome, including those who’ve only had a few lessons. Be in the Magnolia Room 30 minutes before tee time. Family Golf Club

The Family Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA). It holds open meetings the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the Country Club.  Members play Wednesday afternoons. Applications for the Family Golf Club are available at clfamilygolf.com or contact Mary Leathley at 951-244-0114.
