Lucio “Lou” Tiberio of Canyon Lake and Los Angeles passed away at home in Canyon Lake on October 8, 2015.

Lou was born in Los Angeles, California on August 27, 1929. He worked professionally as an aerospace engineer for more than 40 years and retired from Rockwell International in 1990. He was an extremely intelligent and talented person. He was often sought to work on major projects by several large companies, including NASA. He was very proud of his involvement with the Apollo and B-1 Bomber projects. For many years he attended the Annual Bald Eagles Reunion.

His parents, Giovanni and Angelina Tiberio, preceded him in death. He is survived by the “love of his life” of 40 years, Sonnie Robertson Tiberio.

A funeral service will be held at St. Frances of Rome Catholic church, 21591 Lemon St. in Wildomar, on Monday, October 19, at 10 a.m. The burial will follow the mass at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City about 1:30 p.m. For those planning to attend the graveside services at Holy Cross, transportation will be provided from the church. Please call Sonnie at 951-813-8868 today, October 16. Luncheon in Culver City will follow services at Holy Cross.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Animal Friends of the Valleys in Wildomar, the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center in Riverside, or another charity of choice.
