Clear junk from closets and garage tomorrow

CR&R and the City of Canyon Lake will provide an opportunity to conveniently dispose of bulky items like e-waste, old furniture, appliances and more tomorrow, October 10, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot at Canyon Lake Community Church, 30515 Railroad Canyon Rd.

Items that will be accepted are normal household trash, tree trimmings (bundled in four-foot lengths), couches, tables, appliances, mattresses, concrete, asphalt, sod, lumber, motor oil, antifreeze, used car/motorcycle batteries, and e-waste that is banned from landfills such as computers, monitors, televisions, etc. Items that will not be accepted at the Citywide Cleanup event are paints, solvents, light bulbs/fluorescents that are intact, and hazardous household items such as cleaning solutions, liquids, bleach, pool chemicals and pesticides. These items may be disposed of on the first Saturday of each month (except December and January), from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Household Hazardous Waste City Maintenance Facility in Lake Elsinore, 521 N. Langstaff St.
