No need to travel to the islands or even outside the gates on Labor Day, since “a little bit of paradise” will be waiting right at Sunset Beach on Maui Monday, September 7, from 5 to 8 p.m.
There will be food and fun for the whole family inside and outside the Lodge, with the Lighthouse Restaurant providing an island-accented menu, and DJ Mike Shroyer playing beach tunes, along with his famous dance, hula hoop and limbo contests. When they aren’t burning off energy with the contests, youngsters can play in the Kid Zone.
Once the sun goes down, everyone will be invited to gather on the beach to watch hula dancers, Samoan drummers, fire dancers and more, provided by the professional Polynesian Entertainment Group.
In past years, crowds have loved this magical time of the day when the stars come out and the spotlight is on the sand stage of Sunset Beach. When invited, children and the braver adults have joined in the dancing.
So whether it’s to say aloha (goodbye) to summer, or aloha (hello) to fall, residents won’t want to miss this special event sponsored by the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association.
