Chamber Luncheon

The next Chamber of Commerce luncheon will be held Wednesday, September 9, at 11:30 a.m. at Pepe’s Restaurant. The special speaker will be Karen Baumgartner, chief operating officer with Aslar Industries.

Prior to her work with Aslar, Baumgartner was an EMT skills instructor at Pasadena City College. She also serves as an environment, health and safety technician, and assistant at the California Institute of Technology, where she has worked for nine years. Karen volunteers with the United Nations, Infragard, Pasadena Police Department, Toastmasters, Co-Masonry, the Tournament of Roses, the Health Physics Society, the US Green Building Council and the California Science Center.

Oktoberfest

The Chamber is getting ready for Oktoberfest in the Towne Center on Saturday, October 3, from 5 to 9 p.m. A limited number of craft/merchandise vendor booths are available; children’s activities are encouraged. The booth cost is $20 for Chamber members; $25 for non-Chamber members. Interested vendors should contact Alison at the Chamber office. To learn more, visit www.canyonlakechamber.org.
