Letter: Fabulous Coverage

Editor, The Friday Flyer:

On behalf of the Canyon Lake Woman’s Club, I would like to express our gratitude for your excellent coverage of our inaugural Mermaid Festival. The positive exposure you gave us provided the community with a great overview of our event.

A great day was had by all and we even managed to make a profit – something we did not think we would do straight out of the gate! We have some kinks to work out but all in all we were pleased and we hope the community was pleased and will support us again next year!

On a more general note, I would also like to thank The Friday Flyer and Sharon Rice in particular for the fabulous coverage we have had all year long, not to mention, the advice and how easy Sharon is to work with. I’ve even received reminder emails from her, unheard of in my 25-plus years of working in marketing and communications.

The Woman’s Club works hard all year long to raise funds for our local charities and to provide scholarships for the young women of Canyon Lake. It makes our job so much easier when we have a local paper like The Friday Flyer 100 percent in our corner and as committed as we are in our community goals.
