Bob and Peggy Clark recently reached a milestone, celebrating 60 years of marriage on August 13. The couple met in Ontario, California. Together they attended college, and Peggy supported Bob during his service in the Korean conflict. They were married in Upland, California on August 13, 1955.

They first lived in San Francisco, where Peggy taught 1st grade and Bob finished college. Two years later, the couple moved to Lomita then, in 1969, to Seal Beach. During this time Bob taught high school while Peggy, after three years of teaching, stayed home to raise their children: Jay, Bob and Cheryl.

In 1993, after 35 years of teaching high school, Bob retired, and they built their home in Canyon Lake, where they still reside today.

Bob and Peggy are happy to have their three children living nearby. Jay Clark lives in Long Beach, Bob Clark lives in Rancho Cucamonga, and Cheryl Zuniga lives in Murrieta. Additionally, they have six grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.

In retirement, Bob and Peggy have especially enjoyed traveling. Bob was commodore of the Canyon Lake Yacht Club, and Peggy has been both secretary and treasurer of the Canyon Lake Woman’s Club. Peggy also enjoys playing bridge.

On Sunday, August 16, family members gathered with Bob and Peggy at their Canyon Lake home to honor and share in the celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary.
