Cub Scout Pack 346 is excited to announce they’ve earned the “National Summertime Activity Award” from Boy Scouts of America. B.S.A. encourages packs to continue their scouting activities over the summer and recognizes those that succeed.
Pack 346 kicked off its summer and welcomed new scouts into the pack with Splash Olympics Day in June. Other activities that month included a fundraising night at Storm Stadium on Star Wars Night and a community service for Lambs Fellowship at its first annual car show. Several of the scouts attended Cub Scout Day Camp and Camp Wiley in June as well.
In July, scouts camped out at the Storm Scout Night. Following the game and fireworks, the boys set up tents and watched a movie on the diamond. Parents who joined the boys finally were able to go to sleep around 2 a.m..
To wrap up the summer, Pack 346 gathered in early August for swimming and beach fun at Sunset Beach.
On August 23, from 3 to 5 p.m., Cub Scout Pack 346 will begin its 2015/2016 year with a camping expo pack meeting at Lamb’s Fellowship Church. Boys who are interested in scouting and who are entering 1st through 4th grades are encouraged to come out, learn some camping skills and outdoor ethics, and meet members of Pack 346.
Cub Scout Pack 346 is for boys in 1st through 5th grades and serves Canyon Lake, Canyon Hills and Tuscany Hills.
