Miss Canyon Lake program still taking signups

Miss Canyon Lake Scholarship Pageant Director CoCo Morrison says it’s not too late for Canyon Lake girls to sign up to participate in the pageant on Saturday, August 29, at 7 p.m. at the Lodge.

The final signup dates to be involved in this year’s pageant are Monday, August 10 and August 17, at 6:30 p.m. in the Pool View Room at the Lodge. Ages 5 to 25 are eligible to participate. Anyone competing for Miss Canyon Lake must be a senior in high school or currently attending college.

The Miss Canyon Lake Scholarship Pageant has been a community tradition for many years. This program emphasizes the ability of the Royal Court and Talent Court to participate in community service, volunteer service and education. All Miss and Teen contestants will be required to have interviews, know facts about their community, and have a platform outlining a community service or volunteer program that they will actively promote within Canyon Lake.

There is a Talent Competition portion of the program; however, it is optional. Displaying a talent is not a requirement to be in the pageant. For more information, call Executive Director CoCo Morrison at 951-204-7777.
