A vibrant, new exhibit by the Canyon Lake Art Association is now on display in the Senior Center. It features Franco Pepe’s acrylics (photo above), Marilyn Latimer’s oils, Christy Bruce’s watercolors and oils, and Leann Kluck’s photography.

The Canyon Lake Art Association is now dark for the summer, with the first meeting of the new season scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, at 6 p.m. at the Senior Center. Joseph Oakes tentatively is scheduled as the art demonstrator.

The Monday Ad-hoc Painters are still painting on Monday nights during the summer, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Senior Center. It isn’t necessary to be a member of the Art Association to participate in this activity.

Individual artists from the Canyon Lake Art Association continue to display their work at Pepe’s Restaurant on a rotating basis. Three artists won awards at the Elsinore Women’s Club Annual Art Show: Two of Jennifer Stevens’ paintings won 1st and 2nd place ribbon, Christy Bruce won a 2nd place ribbon and Rhonda Strickland got Honorable Mention.
